In this podcast, Dr Kristina Dzara shares her views on why health professions educators should learn about elevator pitch and outlines a four-step approach to master the elevator pitch in order to excel as a health professions educator.

Dr Kristina Dzara, PhD, MMSc is Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and Educational Research Associate in the Departments of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Kristina is a graduate of the Master of Medical Sciences in Medical Education program at Harvard Medical School and directs their Assessment and Program Evaluation module. She also serves as the Social Media Strategist for the Harvard Macy Institute and Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Macy Institute Community Blog. Kristina’s areas of scholarly interest include faculty development, program evaluation, curriculum development, and the use of social media in medical education. Her work has appeared in journals such as Academic Medicine, Academic Pediatrics, Academic Psychiatry, the Journal of Graduate Medical Education, the Journal of the American College of Radiology, Health Affairs, and Teaching and Learning in Medicine.
